Your diabetes isn’t always perfect.
And. That’s. Okay.
Our story began as a simple idea; live each day accepting that diabetes is part of who you are but does not define you.
We focus on reducing the stigmas, abandoning the need for “perfect” trendlines, and restoring confidence to our clients.
Diabetes care shouldn’t cost a house – or your dignity. That’s why we built Hello Diabetes™ to be radically different: affordable, judgment-free, and emotionally safe. We use insurance the way it was meant to be used – to cover care. Most clients pay $0 out of pocket. And if we’re not in your network, we’ll try to change that.
We specialize in advanced diabetes technology (CGMs, pumps, and AID systems), but we also serve those who don’t use tech. We listen before we advise. We sit with you in the hard moments. We celebrate your wins. We help you reclaim time and energy from diabetes so you can live your life, not just manage your condition.
Not. Another. Cash-pay. Diabetes. Program.
Diabetes is expensive enough! Get ongoing support without another bill to pay. For Real.
The “Care” Model is Broken.
We’re here to offer a better way.
The current diabetes care model is broken. It’s way too expensive, with not enough access to qualified providers, and often doesn’t meet the needs of people who really could just use a break. We should know, we have to go through it too.
So, we designed an approach that offers exceptional listening, helpful feedback, and genuine care that keeps our clients coming back. Your diabetes is constant – we believe your support should be, too.

Hello Diabetes™ was born from lived experience. Our founder, Sarah Picklo Halabu, has lived with type 1 diabetes for nearly 30 years and has paid for it in every way imaginable. From $4,500 pharmacy bills and $17,000 deductibles to marketplace plans that didn’t cover insulin, she’s navigated the broken system firsthand. And she knows she’s not alone.
Hello Diabetes™ is built to last. We’ve stayed true to our mission: to make diabetes care accessible, healing, and human. If you’re ready for care that sees you, hears you, and respects your effort, we can't wait to meet you.
